Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and the developer of Mumbo (“we”, “us”) and apply to the Mumbo app and the getmumbo.com website (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to them.
Your account
You need an account to use Mumbo. Keep your credentials safe — you're responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 16 to use the Service. You can delete your account at any time in the app's settings.
License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for your own language practice. Don't reverse-engineer the Service, resell it, abuse it (e.g. automated bulk requests), or use it to break the law.
Subscriptions
Parts of Mumbo require a paid subscription, purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your store account settings — cancelling stops the next renewal but doesn't refund the current period. Refunds are handled by the store under its own rules. Prices may change; we'll notify you before a change affects an active subscription.
Your content
The phrases you record and star are yours. You give us the license needed to process, store, translate, and play them back — that's what the product does — and nothing more. We don't use your content for advertising.
Translations are machine-made
Mumbo's transcriptions, translations, and spoken output are produced automatically and can be wrong. Don't rely on them where accuracy matters — medical, legal, financial, or emergency situations. Word-by-word scoring measures whether the recognizer understood you, which is a good proxy for intelligibility, not a certified assessment of pronunciation.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service up, but it's provided “as is” without warranties, and features may change, be suspended, or be discontinued. We may terminate or suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Slovenia; mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence still apply.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the current version always lives at this address. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect.
